My MA research was focused on leveraging design capability to enable innovation within UK book publishing. Rethinking the book design and manufacturing process to appeal to readers was found to be key. One of the main insights was that when design is incorporated in the process earlier the books covers are more appealing and sales increase. In 2010 the author of the first book on Design Management requested my help to do the adaptation of her book to Spanish inserting new case studies including my project on the UK book publishing industry.
