As Head of Branding and communications at MAPorrua, a renowned family-owned book publishing house in Mexico, I overlooked the overall communications functions of the organization including public and media relations. Repositioned the brand to make it stand out from its competitors. Developed, implemented and managed short and long-term strategic and tactical action plans for both the Publisher’ s Brand and its publications. Coordinated the media and design teams to ensure a consistent message across diverse online and offline media. Designed communication strategies for its diverse audience resulting in book sales. Built relationships and worked closely with multiple cross company constituents and external suppliers to ensure excellence in both printed and digital marketing assets. Functioned as marketing services liaison between the publishing house and the authors for new book launches and book fairs.
